Taunton 10k Night Run Course Information
Join us for an awesome night run setting off from Taunton Rugby Club which quickly joins the beautiful canal taking you into towards Taunton... then around a short section of the river Tone before you link back onto the canal.
The 10K Route is roughly 50% canal paths and 50% river paths which are both very flat and has easy to navigate terrain making this a great run for your first 10K, new to trail running or want to put in a PB time.

Nourishment
We will be providing a feed station for the half marathon runners which you can expect to see halfway through the course. We aim to have something for everyone here to keep you on your 'A' game throughout the rest of the run. To list a few... High5 gels, assortment of fruit, Jaffa cakes, fig rolls, crisps, jelly beans, Soreen bars, free from selection, home made cakes and much more.
Difficulty Level
This is a fantastic chance to join us for our only flat route of the year. We want to make our events as inclusive as possible and if your new to trail running this a lovely entry point to build your confidence before perhaps heading for some more technical trails.
Our events bring in an epically diverse group of runners all joining together and that's what makes our events so awesome.

Parking: There is plentiful parking at the Rugby Club but we do prefer if you can car-share, or even better, come on foot or by bike!

Route Navigation
This race will be fully marked, with our orange arrow markers and ribbons.

Marshals will be out on the course aiding navigation at road crossings and busier sections.
​
All runners must carry a digital version of the route, either on a watch or phone, just in-case you find yourself off course. There will also be printed maps available at registration.
Nourishment Stations
All checkpoints will act as both timing points and feed stations. These will contain the following items:
Water
Electrolyte drinks
Jaffa cakes & fig rolls
Homemade cakes
Fresh fruit (banana, orange)
Event Base
Our event base at Taunton Rugby Club is designed for runners and spectators to enjoy both pre and post race.

Hot drinks will be on offer throughout the evening, along with food.
​
Car parking is available on site, along with toilets and a bag drop facility.
